Spread the music 🎶

Opus 60, No. 3 was written by Spanish guitarist and composer, Fernando Sor. This is the 3rd of a 25 piece study by Sor.

This is a simple yet musical piece recommended for beginner level guitarists looking to develop their fingerpicking technique.

Some minor edits have been made to the original arrangement for ease of playing. The numbers next to some notes on the top staff indicate which fingers to use on the fretting hand. You can review this lesson to help you learn how to finger pick on guitar.

One of the things Sor mentions for the first pieces is to be careful to not lift up a fretted finger until it needs to be used somewhere else.

The form of the piece is straightforward in that you repeat measures 1 through 8 and then repeat measures 9 through 24. If needed, see this guide on understanding music symbols.
