Some minor edits have been made to the original arrangement for ease of playing. The numbers next to some notes on the top staff indicate which fingers to use on the fretting hand. You can review this lesson to help you learn how to finger pick on guitar.
One of the things Sor mentions for the first pieces is to be careful to not lift up a fretted finger until it needs to be used somewhere else.
