Cello Suite No. 1 (Prelude) by Bach guitar tabs

Spread the music 🎶

Cello Suite No. 1 (also known as Prelude in G Major or BWV 1007) is one of the most popular pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. It’s a highly recognizable piece that you’ve most likely heard in a movie or commercial.

Although this piece was originally written for the cello, this lesson covers an arrangement that has been adapted for the guitar with tabs.

An interesting feature of this guitar arrangement is that the lowest string gets tuned to a low C note. Changing to this tuning creates a beautiful range of notes that you’re not used to hearing with standard tuning.

Grab your guitar and let’s get started!

The problem isn't your talent. It's your path.

If you've been playing for years and still feel stuck in the same place, you don't need more lessons. You need a clear path.

"I admit it, I was stuck, had been for years. Then I came across an email that said the words I was looking for: roadmap. The structure has given me renewed purpose. It's starting to all move forward."
